This song is about how my gender/gender identity allows me to do stupid things like cut down a dark alley to get a home a little faster. It’s about how my gender/gender identity allows me to walk down the street without being yelled to, honked at, or followed. It’s about the scary realization that I am exponentially safer in a train station late at night than so many of the people I love would be.

This song is available as a free download, but if you have a few cents to spare, I will be donating all proceeds to Rape Victim Advocates. Since I am completely out of my depth here, if anyone has any issues with Rape Victim Advocates that I may not be aware of or has a personal connection to a similar women’s rights organization, feel free to educate me!
